Dave was the quintessential Motor Head. When I first met Dave, he would only work on Johnsons or Evinrudes and since I had both, a long friendship began. I can’t count the number of times he came to the rescue of motors, boats and trailers. He could fix anything. He also played and sang many favorite songs which led to numerous stories of each of our past lives. He is one of a kind and will be missed by many. I’m sure that today, he is fixing something for God or sing him a Jerry Jeff song.

I sure will miss Dave’s comforting bear hugs and his sweet smile! I loved when I could make him laugh and I enjoyed his funny stories from his past adventures. I am eternally grateful to him for cherishing and taking such good care of my dear sister Judy for so many years. He was her number one fan of her amazing sculptures. He was a wonderful example of a true, loving husband and his work ethic was so admirable. I look back with fondness to the good times we shared in Sarasota on the lovely beaches there with my parents who loved and appreciated him like their own son. Also, those joyous times aboard his and Judy’s cool houseboat, cruising the lovely Indian River with the manatees and sea turtles. I will miss all the fabulous seafood dinners he cooked for us and the special times he shared his musical talent. He had a full, happy life with many travel adventures with Judy and friends across the country. I will cherish the gorgeous rock collection he gifted to me.
I truly feel and know that his spirit flies free of pain and trauma now!
Love you, Dave! You are in our hearts and our memories.
