Obituary of Vincenza Saladino

Vincenza "Virginia" Saladino of West Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022, at the age of 82.

Virginia was born to Carlo and Luisa Roselli on April 6, 1939, in Naples, Italy. In Italy she met Peter, an American in the U.S. Navy, who would later become her beloved husband of 62 years.

As a gifted homemaker, Virginia was known for her hospitality, sewing, cooking, and baking skills. She had a servant's heart and put others first. She was fond of live theatre and listening to music, especially Luciano Pavarotti. Virginia had a zest for life, a sense of humor, compassion for others in need, and a love for animals, especially giraffes. Virginia continually saw the positive in this world. She enjoyed the simple things in life and had a way of bringing joy to others. She always had a big welcoming smile and a warm hug to share. As a Christ-follower, her faith in God remained a source of her strength until her journey to heaven. Her life embodied the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Virginia is survived by her daughters Susan Donato, Tinalouise Bissett, Loretta Ripoll, and Christine Saladino; grandchildren John, Stephanie, Christopher, Matthew, Peter, Mark, Alisha, Courtney; great-grandchildren Addison, Callie, Joshua, Noah, Emaleigh, Brody, Bentley; sister Michaela; many nieces and nephews, and two granddogs Millie and Frisky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Maria, Salvatore, Franco, Gianina, Carmela, Mario, Anna, Ciretta, and Nicole.

Virginia was a blessing to all her family and those she met along the way. She will forever be missed; the void that she left behind will be impossible to fill. 

A celebration of life will be held on April 22, 2022, at 2 pm at Grace Church Melbourne, which is located at 2820 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation or World Vision.
