Over the past 50 years or so, I appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity above all else. You were a wonderful neighborhood mom who always made everyone feel welcome. You were a fellow science teacher who always understood the ups and downs, and the true meaning of teaching. You were a caring friend who always remembered to ask how everyone was doing (because you truly cared). You touched everyone you knew, and we love and appreciate you for it. Mrs Whitfield was an amazing person. I was one of many of her students 89/90. And I have to say she was my favorite. I would see her at Wal Mart no matter the years she always remember me. My deepest condolences and sympathies to the family my heart and prayers are with you all. Rest in Heaven Mrs Whitfield gone but not forgotten.
