My father, Thomas Martin, was absent from my life for many many years. Throughout it all, life went on. After having my son at the age of 42, I realized the importance of reconnecting with him. Shortly after we reconnected, he moved to Florida to reside close to my late Aunt Lona (his younger sister), who sadly passed just 2 days earlier. We spoke and texted often, and my son, his only biological grandson, had the opportunity to meet with him during one of his visits to NJ. This meant the world to me, and I know it did to him. So very sad that our relationship was cut so short - just when we got it started. I pray that he is at peace knowing that he was loved. Gina Marie
