On January 12,2022, the world lost an incredible, talented, and amazing man. Duane Podhola had a great love for his family. He was the Backbone of the family and took care of everything. Duane had such a positive attitude and a contagious laugh and smile! He loved life to the max and taking on new adventures. Besides the love for his family, he was very proud and loved his Harley Davidson. Duane enjoyed riding everywhere even Cross County. He was a very proud Veteran of the Vietnam War. He joined the VFW Post 117 and was a very active member. I first met Duane in 1974 when he was stationed at Mather Air Force Base in CA. Duane and Janet were our neighbors and we quickly became the best of friends! I had the honor of being a Witness to their marriage in December 1974 and we did so many things together as we watched our kids grow up and become adults. Duane had such a good heart, he was kind, caring and so giving. I never had a brother and considered Duane as a brother. He was well liked by all who knew him and I was truly BLESSED to have had him in my life!! Cancer is a horrible disease and Duane fought hard and strong for many years. But on January 12, 2022, Duane got on his bike and waved goodbye with a big smile on his face and ventured off to a new Journey. He will surely missed by MANY but NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!
You’ll always be in my heart & memories!!

Duane was one of those people that God blessed us with. He was always full of positivity and light. He would smile and warm your heart. I will miss you and I am comforted knowing you are no longer suffering and have peace. Please watch over us all.

I'll cherish the time I had to know such a wonderful soul. I always enjoyed spending time with Uncle Duane and the conversations we had. His voice and beautiful smile always made me feel welcome. He gave such great advice and support when I needed him most and I'm grateful to have known him. I'm also grateful that he was able to meet the love of my life when we visited FL in 2017. I’ll miss you Godfather. Rest In Peace.
Love,
Jeremy, Melissa and Maverick Valencia
