Kristen Lizza

Obituary of Kristen Diane Lizza

Kristen Lizza was a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world suddenly, and far too young on November 26, 2021 at the age of 51.

She was born to the late Nicholas and Adelaide Finch Lizza on March 5, 1970, in Syosset, NY. In 1972, her family moved to Amagansett, NY where Kristen attended the Amagansett Grade School and East Hampton High School. During those years she spent much of her time working with horses at Stony Hill Stables in Amagansett. She had a love for horses and showed competitively in local shows such as the Hampton Classic. Kristen loved working with horses and sharing her knowledge with others whether it was giving riding lessons or training others for competition.

Kristen attended college at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. After graduation, she continued her equestrian career in Florida and made Florida her new home. She had a love for animals and working with her horses were her happiest days. She would light up when talking about her "camp kids" and how well they did in a show that day. She formed a special bond with both the kids and adults she trained.

Kristen also loved to write and she put words to paper so easily. She enjoyed writing poems that she shared with her family and friends.

Kristen was a loving sister of Carla Lizza Costello, Karen Fanuzzi, and the late Lauren Bates; a cherished aunt to Nicholas, Kayla, Brenna, Scott, Courtney, and Erika; and the dear great aunt of Chase, Addie, Brady, Grayson, Lennon, Issac, and Cole.
