A few hours before hearing of Tina’s passing I drove by the place we worked together 35 years ago. I am in that area once every 7 or 8 years. I was in the car alone and just started laughing at all the shenanigans we’d get into, in and out of work, Tina’s crazy good laugh and how she would get me laughing at the dumbest things. I thought of how I called John, Uncle John and how much fun I had with them and how they encouraged me to be more social and to embrace going to college. I smiled thinking of their amazing friendship and love for each other and how that was my my benchmark—then and now. I laughed at going to see Top Gun together and how I thought we were going to get thrown out of the theater for laughing and smiled thinking of their wedding and how the McGanns and Yoders made me feel like family. The only reason I eat squash now is because Tina made me—if she cooked it, you were going to try it. I thought of how much I enjoy her space shot pix and her Instagram posts with family and girlfriends and hoped this winter I’d be able to visit Tina and John when I was in Florida.
All of these memories spooled by in a few moments driving by an old warehouse. I don’t know—makes me think now I wasn’t alone in the car after all.
I am so sorry and cannot even imagine the sadness and loss you all must feel. Truly Tina was one of the few people you encounter in life that was all goodness and light.

Hi John,
Words never come close to conveying the true feelings we have, when we try to express that our hearts go out to you and your family, at a time as difficult as this.
Though I never had the pleasure of meeting your wife, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and her warmth surely shined though those beautiful big eyes.
Just got your message yesterday while flying. Seemed like things were stable last time we spoke, so I was not expecting this news.
I hope that time will be good to you and your family as you work through the grieving process. My best to all.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Tina and John lived next door to us for a long time. Johnny and Jimmy played "man hunt" with our son Billy for hours and hours! He has such fond memories and so do I. I know she contributed positively to my life during my single mom years. She was selfless, I know I could go to her for anything. She was especially humorous when "shopping" at our garage sales. Selling more than we did by talking up all the items and picking out the right size dress for little girls with their moms. Lol. She truly was a blessing to me and our family. I'm sorry we didnt connect again when we moved back here from NC. I pray for God's comfort during this time. That He will show you the way to your future and His good plan for you. Lord, bless this family and sustain them by your love. Sincerely Jane Wall

We were neighbors for years and were always hanging out together. Our fondest memory was taking scuba diving lessons with the wholeMcGann family . Tina wasn’t a real strong swimmer but it didn’t stop her from learning the skills. A lot of laughs and some fun diving trips we’ll never forget. Ron and I love you Tina and will miss your vibrant upbeat attitude to life.

Tina was the wife of my former boss and friend. I felt like I knew her from him before we actually met. She was the hands on Mom to Johnny and Jimmy always volunteering and making a beautiful life for them. Years later when I met her, she was always fun and smiling. Her Facebook posts exuded her love of life with John, the boys, their wives, and her precious grandbabies. The world has lost a truly salt of the earth woman. I wish I had spent more time with her.

Tina was the most welcoming, fun loving person. She loved to laugh with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. And the thing about those deviled eggs, yes indeed, they were the best.

Having Tina as a friend is having a person who always has your back. I lived with Tina and John for a brief period in Michigan. There she earned the nickname "Mom," LOL. We will sorely miss her sense of humor, laughter, love, and joy. RIP "mom".
