Obituary of Pauline B. Tobar

On Friday, June 18, 2021, Pauline B. Tobar, loving wife and mother of 2 children, passed away at age 80.

Pauline was born on May 28, 1941 in Barranquilla, Colombia to Lawrence and Gloria (Howell). She received her associate’s degree, and worked as a Secretary for a successful bank where she met the love of her life. On October 7, 1963, she married Augustin Ignacio Tobar. They raised two sons Francisco and Agustin. They moved to the United States in 1968 in hopes to provide a better life for themselves. West New York NJ was where they worked and raised their family and later retired in Palm Bay Florida.

Pauline had a passion for animals. She also loved to bird watch, and had a total of 4 dogs. She loved to help people and children. She was admired not only by friends and family, but also by all where she frequented and shopped. She was also an avid music lover and a collector of Princess Diana memorabilia. She was known for her quick wit, stubbornness, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence, and her mother, Gloria and husband Augustin. She is survived by her 2 children, Francisco, Agustin, and several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at the Ammen Cremation and Funeral Service on 950 Malabar Rd SE Palm Bay at 10 o’clock a.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to 499 Chamberlain Ave NW Palm Bay Florida 32907.
