Obituary of Patrick "Ricky" Kenny

Patrick (Ricky) Kenny of Melbourne, FL, passed from this life into eternal peace on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Patrick, or Ricky, as known to his family, was born on May 31, 1955 in West Milford, NJ. There he spent his childhood and school years thriving with a bounty of loving friends and family before moving to FL in 1979.

He was the third of six children of Patrick and Ethel Kenny. Patrick was a kind, loving person with a big heart who enjoyed his family above all things in life.

Patrick retired from the City of Rockledge in March of 2010 after 30 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered by friends and co-workers as a hard and conscientious worker who would always go the extra mile to help someone out.

He will be remembered by loved ones for his quirky sense of humor, tenacity, stubbornness and love of animals. Patrick experienced many obstacles in life, but through his strong will to succeed and his determination, he led a happy and fulfilled life touching all that knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who will forever remember his quick smile, his affinity for sweets and his love of Sunday afternoon Nascar.

Patrick (Ricky) is survived by his brother David (Pamela) Kenny of Rockledge FL, sisters Eileen Kenny of West Palm Beach FL, Sharon (Stanley) Whidden of Palm Bay FL, Marybeth (Shane) Hatcher of Boynton Beach FL and Colleen (Brian) Noble of Houston TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who adored him. He is preceded in death by his father Patrick Joseph and mother Ethel Maria Kenny.
