Siting in the living room and the 24 hours of Daytona came on the television; at the same time your picture showed up on our digital frame. It made us sad, but also comforted that perhaps it was a sign. I miss you terribly and wish we had more time. Love you XX

Ricky is my little brother and one of the strongest individuals I have ever known. Ricky was born with handicaps, which at that time doctors estimated he would not walk, talk properly or have a productive life. Unbeknownst to them, our parents were determined as was Ricky. He was determined to succeed in life even at a very young age and through determination and stuborness he walked, talked, went to school, drove a car, owned a home and was married. He retired from the City of Rockledge after 30 years of dedicated service. Ricky made his parents and family extremely proud of him in all his endeavors. He was always happy and loved by all who knew him, family gatherings were his favorite times. He would go the extra mile for anyone who needed help and would give the shirt off his back if needed. I remember going to doctor's appointments with Mom for him, helping him learn to walk, hold a spoon and manage through speech therapy. I along with neighborhood kids would walk with him around the block, take him to the pond and the swamp, put him on a sled and navigate through the trees on what was then called the 3rd road. We taught him to ride a bike, which he loved and rode daily, even in the snow. There are too many memories to mention and all good.

So one day Ricky and I were talking about why I am terrified of frogs and he started laughing and I mean really laughing and looked at me said “ well maybe because I used to chase you around with a frog in my hand”. Well there you go that’s probably it.
I miss you so much Ricky and love you tons

Ricky will be so greatly missed... he is the big brother that taught me how to play pool, helped me ride a bike and was always ready to wrestle or goof around. He was a kind soul, and our family will never be the same.
