Obituary of Dorothy Towell

November 22, 1951 – January 29, 2018 Dorothy Towell, age 66 of Merritt Island, Florida passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Dorothy was a beautiful person. She was a shining light who never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. A realtor for almost 20 years in Brevard County, she loved the land and the people she worked with. After following her husband around the world in the Air Force for 24 years, she came to Brevard in 1995. They settled on Merritt Island, where they remained until her death. She was a woman of strong faith and found strength in the Lord. She was an active member of the Saint George Catholic Community at Patrick Air Force Base. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 45 years, Pete; her two sons, Brian and Craig; 13 grandchildren; her sisters, Helene Sanders and Nancy Lally; her brother, Michael DelVacchio; and her father-in-law, Ralph Towell.
