Obituary of Jared S. Nenstiel
Jared S. Nenstiel, age 74 of Indialantic, Florida passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at West Melbourne Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Jared was born on June 13, 1943 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Waldo L. and Ethel G. Nenstiel. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons Kip and Kevin (Monique), sister Dorene (Don) Foster, nieces Annemarie Cairnes, Lori (Curtis) Hewitt, Aleina (Chris) Richardson, nephews Colin (Leslie) Chapman, Brandon Cairnes and granddaughters Madison and Kaitlyn Nenstiel.
Jared served proudly in the U. S. Army as a helicopter pilot. After flight school he went directly to Vietnam where he served with the 173 AHC Robinhood Group in Lai Khe. Upon his tours end he was assigned to D Troop 2/4 Cavalry in Ansbach/Katterbach, Germany as part of an aviation test group. Upon separation from the military he remain active with veterans and veteran groups. He was particularly interested in helping the hurting vets to heal. He was active in the PointMan ministries.
He retired from Civil Service in 1998 as a DOD Contracts Administrator.
His Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15th at 4:00p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church at 106 N. Riverside Drive, Indialantic, Florida. Following the service the Celebration reception will be held at our home at 800 N. Riverside Drive (about 8 blocks north of the church) A picnic is planned so dress is casual.
