Carolyn,
I worked with Jared in the ’80s and ’90s. I remember you and your children and 4th of July picnics at your home. Jared was an impressive person and the world was left a little emptier when he died.
So sorry I missed this.

Carolyn~~I knew Jared long ago from Topeka days. He was a good, fun, caring person. It is humbling to read all of these loving tributes to him and to his honorable, brave service to our country. May you find strength from the love of your family.

Carolyn; I worked with Jared in the late 80’s in Stuart. Sometimes I wonder if it could be called work.
Jared was always fun to be around. Judging by the condolence’s, Jared really found his spiritual place
in his retirement years. I knew Jared flew Helicopters in Vietnam but he never said anything about his war record. However, that is not uncommon for men that experience war. It is comforting to know that he is
with his Lord and not suffering physically. My prayers are for the comfort of you and your family. I pray
for God’s blessings on you all.

Jared, I recall our last visits on the phone, as we have lived miles apart for years and unfortunetly missed you on your last visit back to Kansas. As a child, I always looked up to you and thought of how cool to know a dude flying helicoptors, and then at a reunion you were flying a plane, THANK YOU SIR!!!! I still have not forgot how you shared pix from your times in Nam or my first ride in the sky. God Bless and may you rest in peace now forever and ever, you have earned and deserve that. Thank You Jared for sharing your life and being an advocate for freedom, I am proud of you!!!!! God Bless You and family. Galen Carlson, 2nd Cousin, Son of Orpha

Jared was a great man… humble, loving, kind. He was always welcoming and showed interest in others. He made me feel at home when we would visit and would stimulate my thinking. Often I would leave with a book or a video along with good thoughts and a smile. I am grateful to God for jared and for his loving family!

I have been blessed as Combat Vet to have so many Brothers help and comfort and share.
I meet Jared around 13 yrs ago
as a newbe to Fl. He took me under his wing and shared.
On my last meeting with Jared we talked and laughed about what the pilots were doing to scare me as a newbie door gunner. He said he had a couple tricks of his own.
I wish you and your Family by Best. You Are Missed
Your Brother Joe….

Jared Nenstiel will be greatly missed by many, to include the many membered combat veterans group that he took upon himself to be a founding member and a great leader of the special veterans brotherhood of combat warriors that met at MeMaws Beachside Restaurant and later other various locations. Jared was a great personal friend, in whom I am proud to call “My Brother.” We all love you and will greatly miss your presence, but we also know you are now together with our One True Father in a much better place. I also know that for Jared the War has finally come to an end and he will live in peace with our Father forever more. May God bless and protect Carolyn and all the Nenstiel Family members left behind. “May Peace be with you Forever.”
Respectfully,
A friend and a Brother,
George and Carol Schneider.

Jared my brother it was my honor and my privilege to have journeyed the many paths you. As you have known I regard the term “HERO” as being overused. Hero should be saved for true hero’s not us who have fought as Patriots. However you are among Vietnams true war hero’s. It is not my statement or belief that makes it so it is your distinguished war record that speaks for it self. Two (2) Silver Stars, A Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, the Army Distinguished Flying Cross to name just a few. In my 36 years of being with our brothers I have not heard of another chopper pilot that was shot down twice in the same day and went out for a third time to answer the prayers of us on the ground. You have left in Melbourne a large legacy of veterans who respected and loved you. Carolyn you have Bev and my love, we are and will be here for you.
