I always liked aunt Bert. She always invited me to visit their farm, although I would have to get a man's haircut(this meant a crew cut). I never got the crew cut so I missed out on spending time on their farm. She knew that I love farms. You were always a strong and nice person.

Thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers. I have many fond memories of Sunday dinners at Aunt Bert and Uncle Nip’s house. A full table with many courses. I always thought that the best part of the meal was passing around the box of Russell Stover’s candy after dessert! Aunt Bert was a special lady. She taught me how to make her raspberry tarts which have become a Christmas staple in our house. When I get bossy, my brothers call me Alberta! I remember Aunt Bert hearing this and said “Don’t worry Cathy, it’s just because we get things done!” The obituary is lovely and spot on. Aunt Bert was a lady who got things done and never complained! She will be missed.
with love and peace,
Cathy

I had the privilege of knowing the Klipple family for a number of years. They were a legend in the community; know and loved by everyone and always doing the unexpected. I was best friends with Mark and I sung in the church choir. Alberta was the matriarch of the clan, but she ran things with an easy hand a great sense of humor. Her passing will be a great loss to the community.

Dear Linda,Mark,&Marcy, so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I was always so grateful for her ability to make us kids feel good. She was faithful to the music at church and that too was a gift passed on to so many. May she rest now and you know she had a wonderful life! We lost our Mom just a few weeks ago too. So I believe they are greeting each other now with love.
God Bless

I’m honored to now be living in that brick house on the corner. We felt the goodness as soon as we arrived and continue to feel it during our first six months here. Heartfelt sympathy and thanks to all of Alberta’s family members and to her circle of kind community folks who helped to make this a happy, productive place. I will take good care.

Dear Linda, Mark, Marcy: Thinking of you. I have wonderful memories of Alberta during the 40 or so years she lived in Scipio. A special one is when she was leading Junior Choir at the time when I was going through divorce. She not only kept my boys in line at practice, but she also fed them and I know she taught them a few things too. Now they are fine upstanding men! Not to mention great singers. Thanks, Alberta!

My condolences to your family, your Mom was a memorable person. In 1972 my husband and I bought the George McDonald home on the opposite corner of Center Road. I was pregnant with our first child and when we moved to Scipio Center your Mom and Dad came over to introduce themselves. It was a wonderful experience to live there among the Klipples, along with Morgan and Elizabeth King! They were wonderful neighbors, I have always remembered them coming over again to see my son when he was born and that was 45 years ago. To say the least I have always remembered them. My prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Alberta was a “hoot”! I got to spend time with her during a few buggy wheel, and knitting lessons at Linda’s, and at Shaker Woods. I was amazed at what Alberta was still able to do and couldn’t believe her age when she told me. Those are some of my fondest memories. Sending big hugs and prayers to all.

Linda, Mark, Marcy and families…
I had a lot of wonderful memories at the house on the corner in Scipio…but a few of my favorites are my parents helping with the ice cream trailer and when my grandparents came up and we all stayed in campers by the pond (the zip line, swimming, fishing and the cook outs). I love that Aunt Bert and Uncle Nip always cared so much about their family and community…I know that my parents definitely benefitted from their love and lessons!! Rest In Peace Aunt Bert!!❤

Dear Linda, Cara and family – our best memories of your mom are from the gatherings at Shaker Woods – the picnic we all attended. Then there was the year we all sent her the cards for her birthday because she didn’t need anything, we just sent her memories. I think that was for her 90th birthday. Sending you love and hugs and our deepest sympathy for your loss. Your mom will be missed by all who knew her. She was one of a kind.

I am filled with so many feelings from a young girl at the age of 16 meeting your mom, dad and family for the first time, to now a 62 year old that has learned and lived the legacy of such wonderful people in the Courtright/Coolbaugh Families.
Along with many of your family members, your mom was always one of my monarchs, role models, and now a days, “icon”.
She knew how to live a clock wound once. Her wealth never meant more than her health. She always lived in the present and never took tomorrow for granted. My heart and sorrow of your loss is with you and your family for a life well lived.

Linda, Mark, and Marcy, our deepest condolences to you and your families. The Scipio community has lost a a great woman, and wonderful friend. I can remember my friend and I canning 25 quarts of snap beans only to have Alberta tell me to “dump them” and “always do beans in a pressure canner”. Her words of wisdom will always be with me. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you

Linda, Cara, & family, I am so sorry for your loss. Alberta was an amazing woman. I was fortunate to meet Alberta at one of the art/craft fairs — Yankee Peddler, if memory serves — and had the pleasure of conversations with her at some buggy-wheel rug workshops during the 200x years as well as a few buggy-wheel demo experiences at Shaker Woods. Although she sometimes seemed a bit challenged by our (“G4”) color choices for the rugs — especially Vicky’s — she always encouraged us to follow our own artistic directions while honing our craft skills. I continue keep that lesson close as I enjoy the wide (wild?) world of fiber arts & crafts. Please know you are all forever in my heart.
