Obituary of Robert Lyn Moffitt

Robert Lyn Moffitt, 60, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully, at home, on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany on February 19, 1957 to the late Col. F.E. and Roberta Moffitt. He is survived by his loving wife Manuela; children Joseph and Amanda; siblings, Mark & Mardell Moffitt. He will also be missed by his beloved extended family. Rob was always willing to lend a helping hand, had a great sense of humor, and was a friend to all. He supported his wife and children in whatever they wanted to pursue. Upon the birth of his first child, Rob said now he understood his purpose in life and his children gave him so much joy and a sense of pride. He was very proud of them. He loved to spend time with his family, play golf, listen to music, attend concerts and watch UF sports especially football (Go Gators!). He graduated from Cocoa Beach High School, class of ‘75. He was an electrical engineer, a graduate of the University of Florida Engineering College,. He formerly worked at Harris Corp and most recently at GE Transportation. He was always analyzing things. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, 300 Malabar Rd. SE, Palm Bay, FL 32907 on Friday Jan 12, 2018 at 3 pm followed by a reception in Rooms 12 & 13.
