Manuela, I know it’s not always easy to accept that God must’ve needed Rob more than we did, but we find ourselves having to faithfully accept that it’s part of His perfect will. I will always remember first meeting Rob in the ’60s at Freedom 7 and staying closely connected through sports (encouraging him to sweat off/spit out a few ounces to make weight for a pending CBHS wrestling match…while he similarly encouraged our b-ball team each game), math/science classes (Calc II, Org Chem w/Haskell Light), and then post-grad reunions, golf outings, etc. Through it all, his intelligence, drive, sharp wit, and sly sense of humor made him someone people enjoyed being around. Most of all, his love of family…you and the kids shone through. In fact, instead of his good (or my bad) golf shots, he spoke predominantly and admirably about the three of you the last time we played. I along with so many others will truly miss him. You and your family are in our prayers. Joe

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on forever.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Rob sounded like an amazing person. Please take comfort in knowing that our heavenly father sees your pain and all the suffering we experience. But this won’t go on forever. Revelation 21:4 assures us that “he will wipe out every tear… and death will be nor more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore…” In the very near future pain, suffering, and even death will be a thing of the past. God even promises us that we’ll see our dead loved ones again.(John 5:28,29) I truly hope you find some comfort in this at this difficult time.

A great man and a great friend will forever be missed. I had the privledge of working with Rob for many years at GE and was always amazed and impressed by his work ethic and genuine passion of making things better. I will so miss our discussions in his office when he would set me straight on what really was going on with a particular train. Most of all I will miss his smile and his wittiness. He had some great comebacks. To Rob’s family I am so terribly sorry for your loss. My families thoughts and prayers are with you all. Godspeed my friend on your new journey. I missed you today.
