William Alicea

Obituary of William Matthew Alicea

He was “Billy” to his mom and family members and “Bill” and “Dollar Bill” to his friends. He was born in Yonkers, New York; an emergency cesarian performed in an operating room designated for heart surgeries because there was not enough time to get him to the delivery room. Everyone came to see the baby who caused so much commotion earlier that morning on October 28, 1975. Bill moved to Florida in 1985 and lived here (except for a one year stay in Austrailia when he was around nine years of age) until the Lord called him home on March 16, 2020. He loved the outdoors–fishing, hunting, boating, and camping. He worked outside building pool enclosures, screen porches, and screen repair and replacements until he became disabled with heart disease in 2007. He missed working. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the everyday commaradre he shared with his co-workers and friends. Bill made friend easily. He loved to laugh and joke around. He was laid back, compassionate and would give anyone the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. William is survived by his mother, Shirley, and four daughters, Kylie, Ashley, Hailey, and Raeven. At a future date, we will have a Celebration of Life in his rememberance. If you would like to be notified of the date, please leave a message in the guest book with contact information.
