To all that knew him,
Joe and I were friends from grammar school, PS13, Queens. We hung out a lot, played in the street, went for walks.
I am so sorry to hear of his death. I wish i could have said good-bye.

To Joe’s Children and Grandchildren,
I was very sorry to learn of your Dsd’s
(Granddad) passing. Although we did not have much communication after he and your mom moved to Florida, I have great memories of growing up in Elmhurst with Joe. We lived within a few hundred yards of each other. We were in the same classes at PS13 for eight years, were both Sea Cadets and we shared many good times playing baseball in the Newtown HS tennis courts and on thé many camping trips we went on. He and your Mom were so enjoyable to be with and I have many memories of both that I treasure.
Eileen and I extend our sincere condolences to the entire Dishinger family.
Rest In Peace my friend,
Jose Femenia

Joe Jr, Maria and Karen and families………………
We are the first cousins of your dad and just found out about his passing. It has been a long time since there has been any in person contact with him and your late mom. However, some email was shared over the years and the lack of communication is sad. My brother and sister and me remember the early years of our lives growing up with cousin Joe. Many fond memories remain and he and your mom will be in our prayers and thoughts. God bless you all.

Childhood memories are infused with the joyful remembering of times as our families visited. The way your dad’s eyes lit up when he laughed will aways be the way I remember him. All our love and condolences to the three of you and your families. I praise God for allowing us to know such an incredibly caring man.
