The loss of Susan will be felt by so many who knew her. Her skills, talent and ingenuity were respected by everyone who worked with her. She was an integral part of the Maine Yankee Project and a major contributor on many design efforts. Not only was Susan an excellent engineer, she was a fun person who loved her work and was so easy to work with other people across all engineering disciplines. My sincere condolences to her family and all of those who knew her and worked with her. Thank you, Susan. I am proud to have known you and worked with you.

I am very saddened to learn of Susan’s passing. I worked with Susan for quite a few years at Duke Engineering and then AREVA. She was an excellent engineer, hard working and a pleasure to work with. She loved to golf. I extend to her family my deepest and sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to Susan’s family and friends. I, as well as many others, am trying to accept and rationalize this tragic loss. I cherish the brief time that we were together and will always remember her kind, caring and loving demeanor. The memories of the special times we shared in Boston and New Hampshire will always be with me.

The bright light of friendship that has always surrounded “The Ithaca Girls” has been dimmed by Sue’s passing. But her memory will always shine bright in our thoughts and remembrances of the times we’ve shared together with her over the last 45 years. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of great personal loss.

Am not prepared to say goodbye to my lifelong friend, McCon. The shock still overwhelms the reality. Among our extended group of friends, she was our Spock, our logical rock, learning to and succeeding to finally let loose in her beautiful home at ” Club Aquarina ” in retirement. At last check in, she claimed to be relaxed, relieved of work duties, happy and so at peace. In the warmth of the sun, golf and tennis courts, she enjoyed hosting her beloved family and the freedom to travel North to visit family and friends.
