Obituary of David F. DuPont

Indian Harbour Beach, Florida

Born in St. Augustine, Florida to William and Ilene DuPont. One of eight sons and daughters, predeceased. One sister remains, Dorothy Rice, of Deland, Florida.

He is also survived by his wife of 71 years, Martha Jane (Rahner) DuPont and their children, David Jr. (Sherri) DuPont, Diana (Tim) D’avy, Donald (Vickie) DuPont, Douglas DuPont and Dean (Megan) DuPont.  As well as seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

David was a plumber/pipefitter by trade and a member of the UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 295 in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was an avid hunter and fisherman through his almost 90 years.  Jane and David traveled often and David’s oatmeal cookies were legendary.

The family would like to thank Patty Garrett, caregiver extraordinaire and the hospice team from Health First.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
