I've had the honor of being able to provide care for Mr. Dave & Ms. Jane for over 15 years in Satellite Beach.
They always treated me so wonderful in and out of the doctor's office and shared so many stories over the years. They even came to my wedding in 2014 and Mr. Dave even brought an abundance of the legendary cookies! I was fortunate to taste some of the best deer meat ever thanks to Mr. Dave hunting with his sons. You are loved and are missed....Tila Davenport-Pridgen

Hanging out with the Dupont was a window into how Florida used to be. Deep frying mullet in David’s backyard or fishing off the rocks at Canova Beach was a real experience for a Hoosier-turned-Floridian. Me DuPont was always the wise patriarch overseeing a true Florida family.

Bill loved getting his phone calls and catching up and Uncle Dave coming to the squirrel hunt every year at his hunting camp. Always a good time when Uncle Dave was there! He was a special Uncle, always a lot of laughs when he was around. We love you UNCLE DAVE♥️♥️

The Duponts were one of the first families I met when we first moved to Satellite Beach in 1963. They were the proverbial American family of the time where activities and relationships were emphasized over “things”. It’s been a few years since I moved away and have been in the loop but my memories are vivid and fond and I feel a bit like Pavlov’s dog writing this. I, too, remember some very good seafood catching and eating experiences. I know it’s difficult to lose such a loved and substantial family member which is one reason we should all remember to purposely leave many good memories in our wake. In the case of Dave there is an abundance of those.
My condolences to all. Tom Nelson

Dave, Jane…. Thankyou for all the kindness, compassion, and friendship you have shown me, Kim and my girls over the years. Many good memories remain fresh in my mind… too many to list. Yes, I too was a student of rock fishing 101, not to mention dove cleaning, squirrel skinning, crab picking and fish frying. Seems when you were around the Dupont’s, you were always learning something, eating something and laughing about something. I’ll never forget all the Huckleberry stories…..Lol. And, If you’ve ever attended a Dupont reunion, I will tell you it gives you a real appreciation for meaning of “family”. Dave was always at the top of his game at those reunions. That’s how I’ll remember him. Thanks for “everything” Mr Dupont! May you Rest In Peace my friend.

Dave and Jane were my first “Aunt and Uncle” in Sea Coast Shores circa 1960. My family has nothing but love for the DuPont family. They taught us how to cane-pole fish off the rocks at the proper tide and hunt for cool shells, they took my brother hunting for his first awesome experience. I was included in many DuPont weddings and always heard of the births of grandchildren and great grandchildren by name, always by name. I do not have many accurate memories of my own Mother’s funeral, but I have vivid memories of Dave and Jane, being there throughout the whole day for my family. I even remember the black/white polka dot hat that Jane wore. My Dad would write his own epistle if he was able. He loved sharing his “Joke List” with Dave. And those cookies! OMG those cookies! I love you all and please accept my deep, sincere, heartfelt condolences for the loss of such an awesome gentleman, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and most of all, Friend.

I have nothing but good memories of Dave. He taught me and many others to surf fish with a cane pole and that has fed me and my family many times. He and his family have always welcomed me with open arms and open hearts, thank you Dave.

I grew up with the Dupont family . Played football with Dave at Satellite and was friends with Don and Doug . I always remember their Mom and Dad being a apart of our lives as we grew through high school to adulthood.
I shared an apartment with his nephew Ricky and remember Mr Dupont cooking crab and fish when we lived in Cocoa Beach. He knew plumber tools had multiple use! These are wonderful people and I am grateful to have had them touch my life. Our deepest sympathies and thought to the entire family.

I was a young apprentice in Local 295 in the early 80’s. I worked with Dave and at times he was also my foreman. He is remembered by me as a loving family man that cared about everyone he was in contact with. I learned how to be a leader by his fine example. Although I am no longer a plumber/pipefitter, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of men like him that shaped my life. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends and with out a doubt, he will be dearly missed.
