Doc was a wonderful friend. He was the “keeper of the list” for the 359 men that called Archer-Fish “home” at some time or other during the 1st Commission. For many years he organized reunions for the crew, recorded their memories, and wrote the history of the Boat. He was our last surviving Chief of the Boat from WWII. I lost one of my hero’s with his crossing the bar; I miss him already. Sail in peace my friend… save me a rack in the Alley.
