Obituary of Peter John Saladino
Peter John Saladino, 83, of West Melbourne, Florida went on to his eternal reward on Monday, July 8, 2019.
Peter, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born in Brooklyn, New York to Onofrio and Gaetana Saladino. He graduated from William E. Grady High School, and then he served in the United States Navy. While stationed in Naples, Italy, he met his wife of 62 years, Vicenza “Virginia” Saladino. After serving in the Navy, he worked as an aerospace engineer. He retired from Northrop Grumman after 33 years of service. In retirement, he enjoyed his hobbies, which included fishing, watercolor painting, riding his bicycle, and gardening.
Peter is survived by his four daughters, Susan Donato, Tinalouise Bissett, Loretta Ripoll, and Christine Saladino; grandchildren, John, Stephanie, Peter, Mark, Alisha, Courtney, Christopher and Matthew; great grandchildren, Addison and Callie; and two granddogs, Frisky and Millie.
As a Christ follower, Peter’s faith was immensely important to him. He demonstrated his faith by his love and care for his family and friends, his kind and generous spirit, and his gentle and humble demeanor.
A celebration of life service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Melbourne on July 26, 2019 at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to World Vision or Calvary Chapel of Melbourne.
