Obituary of Jennifer Lynn Thompson-Caden

Jennifer Thompson-Caden, 53 of Melbourne, FL passed away on July 6, 2018 in the comfort of her home after her brave and fierce battle with cancer. Jenny will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeffrey Caden her daughters Meghan Kirby (Sean), Haley and Courtney Thompson, her step-children Tanner, Shea, and Makenna Caden, and her grand babies Grace and SJ Kirby. Born October 26, 1964 in Little Rock, AR to Dr. Randy and Jan Wisdom, Jenny was the second of six children; Tammy Van Cleve, Kristy McPeak, Rand Wisdom, Tiffany Tidswell, and Ryan Wisdom.  Jenny’s sisters and brothers were her best friends and she cherished every moment with them. Jennifer graduated from CM Russell High School in Great Falls, MT. in 1982 and attended college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Jenny was the most devoted mother to her children. She never missed a field trip, or award ceremony and became a “second mom” to many of her daughter’s friends. Fun loving and a best friend to many, Jenny enjoyed fishing, spoiling her grand babies, dancing, live music, and date nights with her husband, Jeff. Caring for others was Jenny’s true passion. The elderly held a special place in her heart. Jenny spent countless hours as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. During this time she provided much more than meals to the people on her route, she offered compassion and true friendship. In addition to her volunteer work Jenny used her unique skill set in her professional life as well. As a team leader in an assisted living facility, Jenny was dedicated to the care of all of her patients. Jenny was also the caregiver to her former mother-in-law until she was physically unable to do so any longer. Full of spunk and tough as nails, Jenny lived her life with a genuine and selfless heart. Her laugh was infectious and her spirit adventurous. To say that Jenny will be missed is an understatement – her legacy will live on through all of the lives she has touched. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 26th, 6PM at the Pelican Beach Clubhouse in Satellite Beach. Jenny’s family would like to invite all who wish to attend. No need for black attire, this is not a funeral – per Jenny’s request. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jenny’s honor to Meals on Wheels – mealsonwheelsamerica.org or The Melanoma Research Foundation.
