Jenny was an amazing woman in countless ways – her devotion and dedication to her children and grandchildren attests to her selfless love. Her care for the elderly, which truly was a gift from God, always impressed me and never ceased to amaze me – she had endless patience, with a kind and loving heart – full of understanding and always quick to serve. Our family was blessed to have her care for our mother, who Jenny knew and loved for 28 years – my mom loved Jenny dearly – I am heartbroken that she is gone – I spoke with her on almost a daily basis – I have the fondest memories of Jenny – I’m saddened for our girls – please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

My family received a blessing 15 years ago when Jenn not only became our neighbor but my very dear friend, a second mom to my children and the person I could spend endless hours talking with about anything. Our hearts are heavy and I was honored to have my life changed forever by knowing her. She taught us all to have a kind heart and see the positive in life. I will miss her contagious giggle! I love you Jenn and will miss you everyday! Blessings to all the family. She truly raised the best daughters ever!

The truth is, I visited this website just so I could see your face again and read more of everything I already know about you. You were the best sister ever!!! I can’t imagine being without you. My heart hurts, my guts ache, I have a constant lump in my throat, and tears that won’t stop. Never did I think our time together would come to such a screeching halt so soon. You fought the toughest battle I’ve witnessed anyone fight…a battle I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Had I the ability, I would have taken you out of that pain…as Daddy said, “We treat dogs better.” I’m not sure what lesson we were supposed to learn from your suffering, or why you, the sweetest of the sweet, had to go through it, but I’m so glad to know that once you breathed that last breath, you woke in the arms of Jesus and are free. I love you, my sissy. XO

Often people start condolences like this: “ words can’t describe..”
Now I understand what that actually means.
Because I do not have the words to describe the depth of shock and sadness we feel over the loss of Jennifer.
It was a privilege to have Jenn as my Sister-in-law for many years.
Every one in our family breathed a sigh of relief when she agreed to head the team of caretakers for our Mom.
We all knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that Mom would be in the most competent and compassionate hands with Jenn leading the caretakers.
I can say without hesitation that I will have fond and happy memories of Jenn for the rest of my life.
Praying for strength to all of the families deeply effected by the loss of Jennifer.

The loss of Jenny is unspeakably tragic. When I think of Jenny, this poem by Raymond Carver runs thru my mind:
And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.
For a certainty, Jenny was deeply beloved, by Jeff and each and every one of her family, by the entire Thompson family, and by her friends. That is a huge accomplishment, something we all aspire to achieve. May we honor her memory, and emulate her kindness, love, generosity of spirit, faith and joy in our lives, each and every day. Strength and courage to all of her loved ones, at this saddest of sad time.

This obituary truly captures Jenn’s generous, fun-loving spirit. Our family was better because she was a part of it. No one knew how to care for our Mom better than Jenn—especially as her Alzheimer’s worsened. Jenn made her feel safe, loved and respected. And her sense of humor and overall good-natured disposition lit up the house. There are no words to express how sad I feel for all of Jenn’s family members for this enormous loss. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers every day.
