Nicolino Mattiace, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He was born in Toritto, Italy to the late Pietro “Peter” and Maria Luigia “Louise” Ferrante and migrated to the United States with his family in 1966. Nicolino (Nick) is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace Mattiace; son, Peter Mattiace; grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Elliott and Jason (Erica) Mattiace; his great grandchildren, Liam Elliott and Gracelyn Elliott; his siblings, Rose (Frank) Palazzolo, Stella Bruton, and Angelo (Charity) Mattiace; and all his nieces and nephews. A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was caring and humble person who wanted nothing else but to always help his family and friends and to all who he came in contact with. He provided guidance and inspiration and taught us through his values the significance of family, love, respect, friendship, work, money and never hesitated at helping others in so many ways. A master cabinet maker and expert carpenter, he enjoyed spending time and cooking for his family and enjoyed visits with his friends. He maintained large vegetable gardens wherever he lived and enjoyed watching his news channels and soccer matches. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is in heaven now free of pain with his parents, brothers (Pete, Lenny, and Mike), niece (Lisa), and others that he loved (Sharon). We love you so much!
