Obituary of Russell G. Altizer

Altizer, Russell G.-77 of Palm Bay Florida, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 21, 2019 surrounded by family, while receiving care at The William Child’s Hospice House. He was born October 29, 1942 in Grundy, Virginia to William Riley and Ethel (Baldwin) Altizer. Russell is survived by his wife of 53 years Carol: His loving children Melissa (Corey) Smith, and Gary (Laura) Altizer: grandchildren, Corey Smith, Jr, Barrett Altizer and Bailey Altizer: siblings, Mary (Ernest) Wood, Evelyn Leonardo, Delores (Jack) Woodard, Janice (JW) Mullins and Wanda (Eddie) Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jack, Paul and Newton; sisters June and Linda; and grandson Ryan Smith. The family is celebrating his life with a private memorial.
