Dearest Carol, Melissa, Gary and family:
I am heartbroken for all of you. Russ will sorely be missed by all of us. I can honestly say that Russ was the most positive person I have ever known. He always had a happy outlook. He was fun. I’ll always remember him singing. Right now I can still see him standing in Mom and Dad’s dining room sing “What’s Your Name? Is it Mary or Sue. I’m so sorry for how his health failed him. Truly he is gone much too soon. .
Thoughts and Prayers, always. ♥️

Had several attempts at this. There just are no words, but there must be words! I am so sorry that your dear family is experiencing this loss. He will be missed. Met Russell so many years ago when he and Don came to Chicago seeking “fame and fortune” and, apparently me and Carol! He remained the same sweet, humorous, curmudgeon – always. Still chuckle that he shared he did not like peanuts because they were too much trouble to chew! Have been saying/trying to keep in touch and failing. I hope we can do better, Carol. Please reach out when you need. May the God of All Comfort be ever present for you all.

Dear Carol, Melissa, Gary and family,
Can’t believe Russ and daddy passed within three days of each other. We were so blessed to have them as long as we did. I know we will miss them both something awful, especially here at the holidays. I know they are celebrating with the rest of the Altizer Clan in Heaven and with Ry. I know they will want us to keep smiling and always have a joke to tell. Daddy always would say, if I can make one person smile a day , then I’ve done my job. Love you all
