My deepest condolences to the family. I enjoyed Cecil’s sharp witted tongue in our Sunday School class, always ready to provide a quiet support to those in attendance. We will miss the donuts he liked to bring, and we are glad that he passed the “donut mantle” on to another before becoming ill.
I will miss watching him interact with Lee Ann and the babies, taking such great pleasure in the role of father. When I think of Cecil, I think of 1 Peter 5:2-4: “Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly+óGé¼GÇ¥not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don+óGé¼Gäót lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.”
May God bless.

Pop, I loved all the Yankee Dimes you gave to me, even though when I moved to Florida from Pennsylvania, I had no idea what they were. You were a really great father-in-law and I’m going to miss you like crazy. It’s not going to be the same for any of us now that you are gone, but man what awesome memories you left behind for all of us. Hugs to you and see you again someday.
