Obituary of Delores Mae Mullins

February 14, 1932 – February 21, 2019 (87 years) Delores went peacefully and comfortably home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 21, 2019. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. Delores was wife to late husband, Bill Mullins and mother to five children: James Kladis, Michael DuKane-Kladis, Michelle Selby (Kladis), Mark Mullins, and Janette Farrington (Mullins). Delores is also survived by her older brother, Bill Milligan, and younger sister, Kristine Adrignola. Delores was born in Biggsville, Illinois and grew up either on a family farm in the country or in the city of Chicago. Delores began her young professional career as a secretary in Chicago. Her secretarial career spanned approximately 50 years, serving in several capacities, but often shared how she loved working as a legal secretary the most. Delores and Bill raised a blended family primarily in the western suburbs of Chicago. Delores became a widow in 1998 and continued working full-time until she retired in the late 2000s. After retirement, she relocated to Florida to be closer to her son, Mark, her daughter-in-law Laurel and three grandchildren – Chelsea, Luke and Bethany. While in Florida she lived in Clermont and the Melbourne areas. In both Clermont and Melbourne, she had an extensive church “family”, particularly the “widows’ group” who were a source of love, companionship, and fellowship. Delores had three cherished, four-legged, furry companions while a widow that included her dog, Harmony, and cats, Buddy and Noel. Delores had four siblings, Bill, Tom, Kristine and Kathy. In addition to her five children, she has eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Delores’ greatest loves include: her Lord and Savior – Jesus, her extended family, her vast church family, her Irish heritage, fresh flowers – especially roses, wearing hats and playing board games with friends and family. Delores is most remembered for bringing encouraging words and scriptures wherever she went and boldly sharing the love of Jesus with anyone around her.
