I will miss talking to her especially on her birthday as I did every year. She was a faithful servant of the lord and a great friend, frequently texting me Bible verses and messages, and calling every couple of months, especially after my wife passed in 2009. Delores blessed us with her friendship, starting in Wheaton and continuing all these years. I Will Miss Her! Bill McLellan

Just wanted to leave a note to let you all know that my heart is heavy for your loss, but it rejoices in knowing that Delores is in heaven, basking in God’s love. Even after all these years (I first met Delores when I was 14), I still felt comfortable calling her ‘Mom’ and she used to tell me that she considered me like another daughter. She always sent a card for my birthday, Christmas and Easter. There are so many memories that have flooded back to me – she sure led a colorful life! After she moved to Florida, I had the opportunity to spend time with her, while visiting my parents. She was always dressed to the nine’s and delighted in sharing with me about her life in Florida and enjoyed hearing stories and seeing pictures of (her grandkids) Amanda and Nick and the two great-grandsons. After my Mom developed dementia, I’ll always remember the kindness and patience she showed her when we would get together. I like to imagine my sweet Mama welcoming her into Heaven’s gate! I hope you each know that all around you, caring hearts are lifting you up in prayer. All my love, Jill

I will always remember the kindness and beautiful faith of my Great Aunt Delores. Even when it had been a long time between visits, she would make me feel very loved and like no time had passed. She was a wonderful light in a world that needs more like her. She will be greatly missed. I know she is celebrating with Jesus now and there is no greater reward our minds can imagine for her life than that. My prayers are with Grandpa and Christine and all her children and family in this time. Love to you all!

To her family/extended family, we express our sympathy to all. Though difficult for all those left behind, we can know for certain that Aunt Delores is rejoicing in heaven with our Lord. Her awesome faith in Jesus Christ made a big impression on us and to all those around her. We have fond memories of family gatherings with her over the years.
Love, Bill and Sara Milligan

My dear sister Delores was someone I looked up to as a child, adoring her big sister. I remember when I was a little girl, she babysat me and I got to stay over at her colorful apartment in Chicago, near the old Riverview amusement park. She took me to the beach and I got to ride in her big yellow Bonneville convertible! When I was older, she taught me how to iron her big waitress apron, helping her to get ready. I remember the family reunion on Mothers Day at the Mill Race Inn restaurant & shops (now gone) where I enjoyed seeing my nieces and nephews. She was a beautiful Irish lady and very passionate and faithful. She was pleasant to reminisce with. She is now at peace in the light of God. Will see you again in the next life.

My Dear Sister-I think back to our younger years and realize what an important role this Big Brother had as a companion and protector of my little Sister. Best of all, we were friends growing up. I loved being your protector.
The memories of passing years of our close families are so precious because we did so much together. You were a Treasure to us All, and now an Angel to us All.
