Obituary of Alejandro “Alex” Hernandez
Alejandro +óGé¼+ôAlex+óGé¼-¥ Hernandez, age 58, passed on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, surrounded by family and lots of love as he took his final flight to heaven.
Born in Havana, Cuba he had worked as a Merchant Marine Radar Officer, and at Northrup Gruman in Melbourne for 13 years.
He also worked as a contractor with SRA at Warner Robins GA, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Rockwell Collins and for a brief time at GE.
He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Warner Robins
Flying Club.
Alex was a pilot, a ham radio operator, a (MARS) – Department of the Army Military Auxiliary Radio System Operator, and played the violin with orchestras in Miami, Georgia and Melbourne.
His family includes his wife, Martha Rand Hernandez; daughter, Theresa Hernandez; step children, Scott (Cris) Isom and Stacey (Ernesto) Vazquez; mother, Doraida Hernandez; brother, Benito Hernandez, Jr.; and grandchildren, Caleb Isom, Alyssa Isom, Alec Isom, Joshua Isom, Lillian Isom, Ernesto Vazquez and Christopher Vazquez.
