Obituary of Donald Allen Morgan

Our Dad was not only a hero to his family, he was a hero to many. As a combat Veteran of the Korean War, he served on the USS Leyte CV-32 from 1952 to 1954. He was injured on the aircraft carrier in 1953 when there was an explosion in the port catapult machinery room. On January 28, 1973, our Dad accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. It was a day that truly changed the life of not only him, but also his family. He was a true man of God. He spent his remaining years leading others on the path of salvation. He always put his family’s needs and others before his own. He was a kind hearted man who was known for his loving, caring and giving nature. As a dad, he instilled morals and values in his children that are now being passed on to two more generations. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother, father and a granddaughter Autumn Lavin.  He is survived by his loving wife Delores Morgan of 64 years, his sister Helen Blank, brother Robert (rags) Morgan, daughter Deborah Fulton, son Donald Morgan and his wife Krista, daughter Denise and husband David Fitzpatrick, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Dad’s favorite bible verse is John 3:16. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family, for final expenses.
