Obituary of Robert Franklin Nagel

Cocoa Beach – (Ret. Col. USAF/OSI) Robert Franklin Nagel, 89, passed away on November 21, 2018. He was born in Ludington, MI, to the late Frank and Pauline Nagel. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Joanne (Martin), and his seven children and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces and nephews from his late sister, Rosella Strauss. Robert (Bob) grew up in Michigan and attended West Point Academy and Michigan State University, lettering in 3 sports: football, basketball, and track. He entered the United States Air Force and joined the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). He moved his family to many places, but most notably to: San Antonio, TX; Anchorage, Alaska; Louisville, Kentucky; Washington, D.C.; Albuquerque, NM; Omaha, Nebraska; Naples, Italy; and Ankara, Turkey. He ended his illustrious career, spanning over 30 years, at Patrick AFB in Satellite Beach, FL. Robert loved his life and proudly stated that he had no regrets, and if given a chance, he would live his life all over again in exactly the same way. He was a very beloved husband, father, and grandfather that will remain in our hearts forever. There are no services planned.
