Dear Joanne, Linda and family,
Words cannot express how we felt about your dad and how much we will miss him. He was much like my dad…a gentle giant of a man: smart, funny, kind and caring. He had a wonderful life, made so in part, by a loving, supportive wife and many wonderful children and grandchildren. Thank you, Linda, for all the sacrifices you have made on behalf or your parents. Their lives are and were enriched by everything you have done.
We loved your dad and will miss him a great deal. Our prayers are with your mother and the family at this difficult time. Dorothy Larson (Col. James D. Larson) and Barbara and Jeff Greene

HE AS A GREAT COMMANDER. LATER WE MET ONCE A MONTH WITH THE RETIRED AFOSISA CHAPTER AT ME-MAW’S BARBARQUE. HE WAS A TRUE FRIEND AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. FREDERICK C. BEDDINGFIELD, JR, CAPT, USAF (RET).

Colonel Bob Nagel and I were together at a working dude ranch in Wyoming summer of 1999, his first time on a horse in many years. The other cowboys/cowgirls immediately recognized what a true gentleman he was and he was immediately accepted into the group that was at the ranch every year. He handled all the jobs like an experienced wrangler; he roped the calves from his horse, he held the calves down on the ground while they were marked, branded, immunized, and other; and he herded the cows and drove them into the National Forest for grazing. What was really amazing was the professional way he wrangled the horses, galloping fast with them and turning them into corral gates. Working the cows was a relatively easy task as compared to handling the horses, but it appeared to be done so easy by Bob. Never any question of his being a solid, honest, gentleman in every respect and was admired by all.

I never had the opportunity to meet your grandpa Amy, but he lived a long and fruitful life. An impressive resume I must say. Lil Phyl’s Brother Art was an air force career man and I would loved to know if they ever crossed paths in their careers. I send prayers to your entire family for their loss. Love, Uncle Scott
