Obituary of Helen Marie Ellison

Melbourne Helen Marie Ellison, 90, was called home on Saturday, July 27, 2019. She was born in Kankakee, Illinois on August 2, 1928 to the late John Franklin Larsen and Ella Elizabeth (Ohlsen) Larsen. Helen and her husband Johnny founded the CITA Mission in 1969. She is reunited in heaven with her husband Johnny and sons Daniel and Jeffrey. Her surviving family includes her children John Ellison, Joseph Ellison, Deborah Gordon and Karen Ellison, fourteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home followed by interment in Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay. Donations can be made to CITA for Helen’s House which is a shelter for homeless women and women with children.
