We are so very sorry for your loss. Mike was a special person who touched so many lives. He was always ready to help anyone who needed it. His selfless commitment to his community was a tribute to the person he was. It was so obvious how much he truly loved his family and would do whatever he could and needed to for them. He will be missed greatly.

To My Lil’ Brother Mike, We haven’t seen each other for years as our lives got too busy and we live in different cities. Then one day out of clear blue you called me asking for me to meet you for lunch and I was having a bad cancer day, but I went. You bought me lunch and told me you wanted to see me before I am called home from my terminal cancer and you didn’t come to the hospital when I was in for 19 days with sepsis as I was not awake and the visit would be worthless. So we sat and caught up on our lives and we talked about the Lord and how I wasn’t afraid to die because I truly believe we’re here with Free Will to show God our true faith and trust in Him. Then He calls us home to continue serving Him in Heaven where life is awesome FOREVER!! I told you I would watch over you and your family and be waiting for him to join me. We planned a nice dinner in March where I would make one of our Mama’s dishes from the old country in March as he had to wait until this season of coaching was done. We hugged for a LONG time and promised not to wait so long next time!! He then told me what was wrong with my van and what parts I needed to buy before he left!!! I watched you drive off and felt so proud of you!! You talked and bragged about your kids and I did the same about my grandkids. Then a couple of weeks later without any warning God called you home….so now YOU can be my angel until I get there, but when I do we will party!!! Everything is in God’s time and not our human time so I don’t know when, but we’ll hug again one day!!! I love you with all my heart and I pray you enjoyed the pictures I posted of that sweet little boy!!! Love and prayers, Your BIG sis, Barbie or as you like to aggravate me…….Babs!!!

Mike will be missed by so many. I am so thankful for the time I had to work with him and get to know him and his family. He always had something to smile about and make someone laugh. Roll Tide buddy!!

My heart is broken. Mike you were the definition of a big brother. You were by my side when I was scared, hungry, poor, acting foolish, mad, and of course all the good times. I honestly don’t know what to do without you. I never thought you would leave .The hardest times are going to be when I am lost on the road and need immediate directions or when I have a football trivia question or when I go to concerts or basically when I do anything fun. You were my best friend! Just devastatingly broken-hearted!
