Janice & Kathi,
Today, I am home on my days off from working in Miami and I Miss Bob already. Bob was a great neighbor, friend, and husband. I always felt safe leaving Melbourne to go work and knowing that if my wife would need help on anything Bob would be there for her if she needed him. I will miss the visits in his garage & home. We could talk about anything, politics, trivia, growing up in Kentucky, and his time during the Korean War when he was drafted. I could go on & on just too many to write. (Just writing this guest book puts tears in my eyes thinking about all the good times I had with Bob). To me his specialty was helping neighbors & knowledge of tools. Last job Bob and I did was my right side of my fence. The fence is standing real nice after 4 years. I wrote his initials on the fence. Well, must go, before I sign off, a salute to Robert Lee Weaver, thank you for your service Bob!! God Bless you & family.

Can I cuss out cancer here? Bob was such a kind helping friend to all in the neighborhood. Need a tool? Bob had it. Need advice on a project? He would lend that also. When he was healthy, you could always find him tinkering in the yard. Needless to say he will be missed. Every time I walkout the front door I look across the street hoping to see him working in the yard or the garage.
Janice and Kathi, if you need anything or just want to talk I am here for you.

Bob,
Loved having you as our friend and neighbor! You were always there to help, support or just care about all of “US”. I’ve always thought of you as The Mayor of The Cul-da-sac. You fought a good fight bud… you will be missed but your spirit will live through all of us. Thank you for being so kind, helpful and just being you! We know you are up there watching over us and we promise to do our best to help Janice and Kathi in whatever they need.
Janice and Kathi…. you had a great husband and father so happy our lives crossed on Mariah Drive and that we have been part of all your lives. I will miss my talks with Bob when I come back from Maryland and watching him sit out front and talk to all the men in the neighborhood. Bob will be missed!

To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a “resurrection” back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises. http://www.JW.org

Robert Weaver was known to me as “Uncle Bob”. My first memory of him was over 60 years ago, when he helped me learn to count by 10’s to 100.
Bob was my father’s youngest brother. The last time I saw Bob, he told me a story I had never heard before. He told me how, just after my father returned from the war, he and Robert took a train to Indianapolis to watch the Indy race. It had been suspended the previous 4 years because of the war.
Uncle Bob was a great story teller in a long line of Weavers who could spin a yarn with the best of them. It didn’t really matter to me what he said though. His voice blended in with the memories I have of my father’s voice. I would often lose track of time while listening to him talk about life on the farm in Allen County Kentucky.
I was fortunate to have both a wonderful friend and a wonderful uncle wrapped up in the same package. I recognize the names of some of the people who have written on this page and I can tell you that he felt the same way about you that you felt about him. He enjoyed talking about his good friends.
There are another thousand good things that should be said about Bob. To me, his greatest contribution to the world was his generosity. Bob was always there to help a friend or a relative. He was there more than once for me. Everyone who knew him, can shares their own similar experiences.
The Weaver family has suffered a great loss. Uncle Bob was easy to love, fun to be around and warming with his affection toward the people he loved. He will be missed but never forgotten.
