When they crucified Jesus and put Him in a tomb, they said He was dead, but the Bible says He was in the underground preaching to those who died in the Faith, Then after three days He arose, took up His body and was ascended back up to Heaven, He tasted death for every man, and was the first fruits of many brethren. As we also die in the Lord, our bodies are put into the tomb, but the Spirits of man goes up to be with their Lord, just as Jesus went up to be with the Father. At the time of the rapture, we, and the living souls who have gone on before us, will return with Christ and regain their bodies just as Christ regained His body in the tomb, and we will be caught up together to meet Him, Jesus, in the air. So, as we place our Loved ones within the grave, be encouraged, their body is asleep in Jesus, but their souls are very much alive with Him. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord, (1Thess 4:17) Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Please read John Chapter 3, in a KJV Bible. Only those who are Born Again have the promise of Eternal Life with God. Your Mother was a believer in Jesus Christ, be encouraged; The word of God is True and Faithful, because they are just that, The Words of God.
