Obituary of Henry F. “Hank” Taylor
Henry F “Hank” Taylor, Jr. of Palm Bay, Florida passed away peacefully from natural causes at 8pm on Sunday, January 21st, 2018 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. Florida. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Hannah Graber Taylor, his three children, Henry F. Taylor, III (and wife Sandra Jean Taylor), William Hunter Taylor (and wife Kathleen Sheats Taylor), and Elisabeth Heather Taylor, his five grandchildren, Hannah Nicole Taylor, William Hunter Taylor, Jr, Hayley Elisabeth Taylor, Christopher Michael Kennedy, and Rachel Morgan Kennedy, and his brother Christopher Ainsley Taylor (and wife Sherrill Taylor).
Hank was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 20, 1939 where he lived with his father, Henry F. Taylor, Sr and mother, Lucille Rector Taylor through High School. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, Hank attended Virginia Tech where he studied Aerospace Engineering and participated in the ROTC program. Ultimately, he pursued his private pilot’s license. In time, his professional career bloomed and he retired as a successful Sales Executive from Ricoh.
Hank was always popular in school – voted the best of this and that. He was also very industrious which enabled him to have a Corvette and a boat not long after High School. He and his friends also had a top-fuel dragster they ran on the weekends.He was an avid sportsman, playing football, baseball and basketball (was Captain of all 3 teams) throughout school. Later in life, his sports love turned to tennis and golf. He coached his sons’ football teams. He also adored his little black dog Harley Moe who he referred to as his “Number One”.
Funeral services for Hank will be at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care in Melbourne, FL Saturday, January 27th from 5pm to 7pm.
