Obituary of James David Harris

Passions: Baseball, birding, photography, and enjoyed an eclectic mix of musical artists and genres. While David was not trained professionally to read music scores or on a specific instrument, once an interest was established be it brass, strings, keyboard, or percussion, he would immerse himself until personal perfection was achieved. He was that way with every aspect his life. Be it professional or personal. Lastly it must be noted that he was a Russian linguist, and enjoyed flying and pursuing that duty in the Air Force with great prejudice.
David is survived by wife Becky, brother Phillip Harris, sister Sarah Bailey. Golda Barrows-Niece. Children: Scott Harris, Stacy Grimes, Eric Walther , and Elizabeth Dinkelman. Grandchildren: Elizabeth and James Harris; Mark, Jake, and Claire Grimes; Isabella Walther-Wieand, Hunter and Julia Austin, and Tristan Dinkelman.
Deceased Family Members: James Harris-Father. Pauline Harris-Mother. Mark Harris-Infant son. Richard Bailey-brother-in-law.
It must also be mentioned that David’s family includes his mother-in-law Vera Steele, sister-in-law Myra and brother-in-law William Hancock who were not only of great comfort and assistance during his lengthy illness making themselves always available with medical care, they were also a warm spot of much needed brightness in his days.
David requested his ashes be spread at some of his favorite locations, which hold many happy memories for David and Becky, and their life together including the Keys, Cortez, and the Gulf Coast of Florida. David was a Renaissance man, a force that is greatly missed, and will be forever treasured.
