Dearest Kathy, Gale, Linda and Hank, My thoughts and love are with you all. I so love seeing Eileen’s sweet face here. It brought cherished memories of our two families brought together from a pair of high school sweethearts. Your mother could make the sun shine on a cloudy day! I can see her face full of light, totally animated as she told a story and brought us to tears from laughing. Not only was she charming, but a wonderful cook and hostess. I really don’t know how she did it with all you kids! A very special lady, indeed! May fond memories of your mother bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. My heart and prayers go out to you and your whole family. Xoxo

We remember Eileen so well.Our short time with her twice in our life time was both memorable and hilarious! The first time was her visit to England with Gail. Eileen found the British roads rather narrow and it was hilarious to watch her drive up and down the pavements, managing to hit a tree trunk with her wing mirrors!!Never to be forgotten! The second time was in Florida where Eileen put us up, she was so hospitable and looked after us like kings. When John suffered with heat stroke and was sick, Eileen “whizzed” us at great speed in the middle of the night to hospital and to get his prescriptions. She drove so fast we called her “supergran”. !She drove so fast that the wheels were red hot , we pulled into a garage and the mechanic couldn’t touch them .He said they were ready to burst into flames!The brakes were binding! It was a miracle they had not caught fire! We laughed until we cried. She was a lovely, lovely lady and we also shared fellowship with her at St.Lukes. Sorry we are not there for you all but you can be so proud of having such a wonderful mother. We are so glad she lived a long and happy life .We send our deepest , sincere condolences to all her family. Eileen was wonderful and funny.so glad we met her and enjoyed her company.
