What a lovely poem – “I’m Free” – A fitting tribute to such a gentle soul. Butch and I were classmates all through our school years in Belchertown & though we haven’t seen each other much since graduation, the friendship never wanes. Butch was always a quiet kind of guy, eager to help anyone needing a hand & the guy to pitch in whenever or where ever needed. I was always amazed that he never sought out fame, fortune or any of the other worldly things that drive us – he was content to live & love the life his Creator had destined for him. A quiet, gentle soul with a huge heart – that was Butch. Rest easy friend & classmate from all of us – B.H.S. Class of ’65
