Our thoughts and prayers are with Joan and the entire Bamberger family. Viewing the video of Grant’s life and his obituary brought back many fond memories of Grant during our days at Honey Brook High School (HBHS) in the Class of 1955. Unfortunately, we saw very little of each other after graduation due to Grant living on the Vermont and me in California. I will always remember Grant as a very personable individual who enjoyed people and was goal oriented.
In reviewing the 1955 HBHS Year Book, there are many quotes about Grant:
“Grant gratefully leaves his happy-go-lucky attitude to Mr. Peffer, Principal of HBHS; Grant Bamberger Jr., HBHS’ answer to …Albert Einstein; Under Who’s Who, Grant is listed as “Best Natured, Reckless Driver, Most Mischievous, Best Personality, and Most Obliging.”
Grant was a great guy. I regret that we were unable to see each other more frequently. He will be sorely missed.
Don “Duck” Leisey
