Obituary of Thomas A. White
Thomas A. White, 63, passed away unexpectedly September 2, 2018 at 1:40 a.m.
Tom was born in Staunton, Illinois on March 12, 1955 to Thomas D. White and Sylvia (Baum) White. He grew up in the small town of Mt. Olive, Illinois and attended college at Eastern Illinois University, earning degrees in accounting and computer science. While at EIU, he met his wife of 39 years, Linda.
Tom and Linda moved to Palm Bay in 1984. He was a member of the Palm Bay Rotary Club for 30 years. Tom owned an accounting firm in Melbourne, working as a Certified Public Accountant.
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda S. White of Palm Bay, FL; son, Adam White of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Megan (Joel Goldfarb) White, and two beautiful little granddaughters, Harper and Nora Goldfarb, all of Indian Harbor Beach, FL.
Surviving also are sister, Catherine L. White of Mount Olive, IL; and brother, Frank E. White of Tampa, FL.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom was an avid sports fan. He loved attending baseball games at stadiums all over the country where he collected a baseball cap from every stadium he visited. He was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan, going to games in St. Louis as a child. Tom also loved going to football games in Miami and basketball in Orlando. Recently, he lived for spoiling his granddaughter, Harper. They loved to swim, watch movies (over and over) and eat popcorn, even for breakfast. Tom only recently met his second granddaughter, who we all know, would have been equally spoiled.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family of Thomas White requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tom’s name to the Rotary Club of Palm Bay, P.O. Box 060357 Palm Bay, FL 32906-0357 (321) 508-3011, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
