Obituary of Floyd Perrin
Floyd Perrin, 91, of Rockledge, passed away at Rockledge Health and Rehab Center on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Floyd was born in Everett, PA on June 8, 1923.
He met Jerri Bridges at Avon Park while stationed there in the U.S. Air Force. They married in 1945 in Lake Wales and moved to Rockledge in 1948. He and Jerri attended the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa where he served as President of the Adult Fellowship class for a number of years. Jerri predeceased him in 1999. Floyd was a youth baseball coach in the Cocoa-Rockledge area for many years and was an avid golfer at Rockledge Country Club. He had a basketball scholarship to West Chester College but chose to join the Air Force and fight in WWII instead, with his buddies. He was Past President of the Cocoa Rotary Club and owned and operated three Gulf Oil service stations in the Cocoa area.
Floyd is survived by three children, Don and Melissa Perrin of Lecanto, FL, Marianne and James Wright of Rockledge, and Connie and Glenn Grossmann of Oviedo, FL; six grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
