On behalf of Paul’s cousin, Kenneth Pakenham, who is in care with end-stage Alzheimer’s Disease, I would like to express our condolences to Paul’s wife Paula and their beloved children. Ken often shared his fond memories of visits to Dublin to stay with Paul and his parents. Later, on his many trips to Washington, D.C., Ken stayed with Paul and his family, enjoying the many memories they shared. As Ken’s wife, I, too, grew to love the Sparks family, and was so grateful for Paul’s calls to Ken as his Alzheimer’s Disease progressed. I only regret that I am unable to join Paula and their children as they celebrate Paul’s life, as I need to stay with my husband as Paula stayed by Paul’s side. May you all take comfort in knowing that Paul loved you all more than life itself and now is with his Savior.
