Dear Rottmans,
We are some of the fortunate ones who can call Rosie our dear neighbor and friend. What a rich history Chris has with them since building their houses next door and sharing life. When I arrived in 2003, Rosie and I immediately became friends. As fellow nurses, we talked nursing and families as we hung over the fence between our houses, usually watching our husbands work in the yards. We took walks around the neighborhood. One thing I loved about her was that, no matter what was going on (like if I missed my grown children), Rosie could always cheer me up. Her happy nature and generous heart made me smile every time I saw her.
We both love music and often sang along to all the songs our husbands played at gatherings, especially at Christmas.
My life in Melbourne these past 16 years has been made happier by Rosie and her incredible family. They are all active and smart with good hearts and we are honored to know them.
Thank you, Rosie, for your friendship and thank you, Dave, for being the strongest and most loving husband she could have possibly had.
May you Rest In Peace,
Karen & Chris Messitt

Dave, Shawn, Kyle, Shelly and family,
We will always remember Rosey’s beautiful smile
And sense of humor. So many wonderful memories.
Rosey welcomed us when we first came to America. Kevin and I met Rosey and Dave in childbirth class for Shawn and my daughter Tamsin. We even gave birth within 24 hours of each other!
So much fun and laughter together as our families grew over the years. We became neighbors and were even closer.
Rosey was a wonderful nurse and helped me transition to the American way. She was so smart and a wonderful mentor.
Rosey was a big part of our lives as our children grew up. Parties for the holidays, both children and adults. Always had a candy ribbon to pin on Tamsin on her birthday! We will treasure these memories and they will last forever.
Our sincere condolences go out to you all at this difficult time. ❤️

Dave, Shawn, Kyle, Shelly,
My heart breaks for each and every one of you. I know this is a difficult time for all of you and no amount of words will make it better. I know this from experience. She was such a great woman, always open and willing to let me hang out with Shawn after soccer games. She was always one of the parents who did everything and was everywhere, just as you were Dave. I’ll never forget you being one of the coaches on my very first soccer team. Y’all are Some of the nicest and greatest people I have known in my lifetime. I am blessed to have had the privilege of knowing you all. I know she’s no longer suffering and in a better place, hopefully greeted by her loved ones, I hope you can find some comfort in that. I will pray for you in this time of sorrow and pray that Don & my Dad welcome her into HIS kingdom with a warm welcome. She’ll always be with you, forever. I’m so sorry.
Deepest Condolonces & Warmest Sympathy,
With Love,
Ricky Ciuzio

Dear Dave, Shawn and Kyle,
We are so saddened by the loss of Rosie. She was a true friend and neighbor. I will always remember our evening walks and bike rides, being one of her her assistant coaches, camping and many more happy memories. We are very saddened by her health struggles these past years and know that Dave took excellent and loving care of his Rose-bud. Any of us that could count Rosie as a friend were so very blessed. She and her family are in our prayers. Much love to all of you.

Words can’t describe how I feel about this, such a vibrant person with a sparkling personality, I’m sad, as one of my first childhood friend along with her sister Shelly, we were the foursom along with my twin sister Diane! As I’m writing this I can’t hold back the tears, as all the memories are flooding back in my mind of the chapters of life we shared, I can remember maybe 3-or 4 yrs old that I saw my little friends walking together to the candy store on our corner, I wasn’t allowed to cross the street @ that time, but we were always excited to see them+ always waved, I mean, we knew each other from a young age+ went to kindergarten together, then they went to saint bananas, we stayed goid friends tho even tho we didn’t go to the same school, To say was always an inspiration in everything she did, she was a cheerleader, a great dancer, wantagh park dances+ she was beautiful, inside+ out!!a magnetic personality with a beautiful smile!! We double dated, we shared life together all the way through, even when we lived in different states we always made a way to stay in touch, when I moved to Florida+ I moved to vero Beach, I was worried I got to see both my childhood friends more often+ I’m glad I got to be with Rosie + spend time with her as we walked + tallied about all our memories of life together, it was special, it was real+ will always be unforgettable!!, Rosie, I love you + Shelly like sisters+ I will always miss your beautiful face+ your beautiful soul, until we meet again, RIP Rosemary Malone!!!, what memories!!
