Merry and I became friends when our mothers were in the same Assisted Living home. We saw each other frequently, sometimes daily. I will always remember and thank her for giving me help and support during a difficult time in my life. She was like a big sister to me and called me her little brother. We became good friends and enjoyed getting together. We will truly miss her and her humor. Janet and I want to extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.

Merry was my heart and soul. She was everything to me. We spent 5 years, 24/7. We had great times even if was to go out for a late breakfast. We always laughed and had a good time whatever we did.
I will miss her dearly but I will never ever forget my “baby “.

Since learning of Merry’s passing, my mind has been flooded with wonderful memories of my first and long-time friend. The Stenboms and Kupecs lived directly across the alley from each other in Oak Lawn. Merry and I shared the sandbox in my backyard, and we honed our climbing skills on the nearby cherry tree, too. My first two-wheeler was a hand-me-down from her brother, Bob. My first b-ball hoop was built and installed on my family’s garage by our fathers. Merry and I were in kindergarten together. In high school, Merry was a spirited and loyal cheerleader for the sport teams on which I played. As adults, our paths crossed in Los Angeles, where we both worked, and in OL for class reunions. Whenever we visited, we were able to resume our last conversation as if no time at all had elapsed. I am blessed that Merry was my friend. Merry will forever remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Merry was an awesome addition to our Family…Loved by us all for her Generosity of Spirit and Heart. Merry will be missed so very much…We loved watching her and our Brother Bobby plan their next adventure like teenagers starting Life all over again. Their Love was Beyond Compare. Merry spoke of her Beloved
best friend Anna and her Brother Bob Stenbom all the time, the stories sustained her throughout her final journey…
We will honor her Memory and wishes for years to come and there won’t ever be a day that goes by where we won’t miss her. God Bless You, Merry, until we all meet again in the Glorious Heavens above!

Merry, Merry…I’m going to miss our chats about high school and Fox College. My goodness we have a long history. Thank you for helping me through the toughest time in my life by sharing your experiences with me. You had perfect timing when you called and lifted me from a dark place. I will never forget you my dear friend and I’m so glad I was the catalyst that brought you and Bobby back together; at his persistence I must say. I love you Merry.

My dearest friend Merry has been ever present in my life for over 40 years, and she was a friend of my husband “Tommy Boy” even before that. She was my maid of honor in our wedding in her Oak Lawn backyard in 1981, and yes, miracle of all miracles, she wore a dress!
Nobody could ever understand how we could still talk to each-other daily. We were constantly asked “What can you possibly have to say?”. Well, we said it all. I will miss you my dear friend. Daily!
Love and prayers to the families that she cherished.

Merry Lee, as well as her parents and brother, Bob, were my cherished friends growing up in Oak Lawn. The Stenbom family represented the very best of humanity. Merry sang at my wedding, “The Song Is Love” and she was certainly very loved and will be long remembered with great fondness.
Sincere condolences to all who loved her.
