Obituary of Ethna N. Babb

Ethna was born in Barbados on December 06, 1922 to Carlotta Vaughan and Harold Best. She came to America as a young girl in 1939 to live with her father, Harold Best. She married Leonzo Miller, ll who later died and managed to raise two sons and a daughter as a single parent in the rough section of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. She married again in 1965 to Eustace Babb and spent 18 wonderful years together until December, 1981 when he died of a heart attack. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1985 to be close to her sons. She moved to Melbourne in 2002 where Ethna and her daughter Michelle have lived together for the past 14 years. She has been one of Jehovah+óGé¼Gäós Witnesses for more than 50 years and a member of the Fell Road Kingdom Hall. Ethna, is survived by her daughter Michelle Carr of West Melbourne, FL; her sons, Leonzo E. Miller III and wife, Carol of Palm Bay, Fl. and Roger Miller and wife, Ann of Live Oak, FL; and a brother, Fred Worrell and wife, Gwen, who resides in England; 2 nephews, Roger and Mark Worrell in England. Ethna has 8 grandchildren- Leonzo IV, Roger, Rozann, Sean, Monique, Kristen, two preceding her in death, Anthony and Daryl; 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives who are scattered throughout the world. Ethna loved her family and the family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling, the ocean and going to the beach. It has been a wonderful 93 years that family and friends have shared with Ethna. She has left us all with many fond memories and pictures that will remain with us forever. She will be sorely missed.Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall, 3395 Fell Road, West Melbourne, 32904.In lieu of flowers, please give donations to Health First Hospice, 1900 Dairy Road, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
